Meet Dr. Holland
Dr. Holland grew up in Marble Hill, Missouri, and is a graduate of the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry, where she specialized in contact lenses and ocular diseases. A member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and Tennessee and Northwest Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians (TAOP and NWTAOP), Dr. Holland joined Lifetime EyeCare in 2018.
Dr. Holland has a huge passion for helping patients get the absolute best out of their sight. She says, “I love that I get to problem solve all day. If I had to pick one of my favorite parts of my job, I love when a patient comes in and is resigned to wearing reading glasses and I am able to fit them in multifocal contact lenses that keep them out of their readers for the vast majority of their day. Their joy is very contagious/infectious when we achieve this goal.”
She and her husband, Anthony, have a spoiled but wonderful rescue pitbull named Yadi (you should ask to see pictures during your next visit!) In her freetime she likes to watch movies, play games, see concerts, and cycle—her big goal for the next year is to complete the 60-mile Tour De Corn cycle event! She’s also an active member of the Jackson Cotillion Club, Jackson Tennessee Chamber of Commerce, and the Jackson Young Professionals.
If Dr. Holland could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, in what event would she have the best chance to medal?
“Olympic gold for skillfully finding a place for myself in bed when my dog has already claimed it for herself.”
